The Columbus Film Office is proud to announce the continuation and expansion of its Local Filmmaker Grant Program (LFMGP) for 2026. The program, designed to nurture local talent and support independent filmmakers in the Chattahoochee Valley, has demonstrated significant success in its inaugural year, fostering creative projects that showcase the region's storytelling talent and production capabilities.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage.
Sony and Crunchyroll know how to speak to their followers directly. They kicked off the campaign at Anime Expo Los Angeles in July which included a MAPPA panel (they produced the movie) and activations on the expo floor with MAPPA and Crunchyroll booths and Pochita walkabout and photo ops.
All of the locations in the film were shot in east Alabama, Columbus, or the Chattahooche Valley, including prominent locations such as the Chattahoochee RiverWalk and the Columbus “Rainbow Tunnel”. The film also received the top prize for the inaugural Columbus Film Fund Local Filmmakers Grant, and Rowe stated the team was “over the moon with it.”

Governor Brian P. Kemp today joined the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) in announcing that the state broke tourism records for the third consecutive year and ranked No. 5 in the nation for overnight visitation for the fifth year in a row.
