The Columbus Film Office is having a creators mixer to “broaden the scope of film production” in the city of Columbus.
Rather than solely traditional film production, the film office says they are expanding the horizon to gaming, music, podcasts and digital content creation.
The mixer will be held at the Loft, at 1032 Broadway, Columbus, GA 31901 on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026.
The mixer provides local content creators the opportunity to connect with other local creators, gain information on the fundamentals of storytelling and learn about available resources.
“We saw those doors begin to open, and the demand from what we were hearing from national and state levels,” said Joel Slocumb, Columbus Film Commissioner. “After many conversations, we decided to encompass that into what we are doing.”
